Communications
We will reply to your query promptly (typically within 1-3 days). First of all, we generally need to find out more about your condition. You may be asked to forward MRIs x-rays and medical reports to us.
Our International Medical Department is there for you from the moment of first contact until you are "good to go". We will answer any questions you might have about your back problem - just ask.
If at any point in the process you feel things are not moving along to your expectations please contact us at 866-544-8252 toll free.
Evaluation
Dr. Ritter-Lang's International Medical Department and its team of physicians evaluate your MRIs, reports and X-rays, and after a thorough first analysis, we will contact you once again (typically within 1-2 weeks) with our recommendations for treatment.
Arranging an Appointment
Once all issues have been cleared up, and you are ready to proceed with surgery, on the basis of the remote diagnosis, we can offer you a date for your operation. We will at this time instruct you regarding advance payments and arrival/departure dates.
Arrival
Phase I ends with your admission to the hospital. Upon arrival you are met and transported to the adjacent hotel where you will find instructions regarding your input process and further diagnosis.
Orthopedic Specific Diagnosis
Once you have arrived the remote diagnosis must be verified: in a face-to-face interview with Dr. Ritter-Lang, the entire case history is discussed, the result of clinical examination examined and all images inspected. It is possible (and generally the case) that the original diagnosis is confirmed. If this is not the case, a more detailed test program must take place, in order to be absolutely certain of the diagnosis.
Orthopedic Patient Information
Senior Orthopedic Surgeon Dr. Karsten Ritter-Lang will go through your operation with you in person. We treat every case as separate and unique, and what's more we understand your anxieties. Only when all questions are clarified and you feel sure that you have understood everything that happens in the coming days do we complete Phase II.
